David Hatch wished he had taken up magic when he was still working as a children’s anesthetist at Great Ormond Street hospital. Sadly, he only took a serious interest in the subject on his retirement a few years ago, but is now a regular attender at the magic lectures in the Italian centre in London .

He has performed for charity under the name “Professor Whizzo”, either on his own or with his musical accomplice “Keyboard Kate”, and has developed an illustrated lecture/demonstration on the history of magic.

His long-term aim was to become a member of The Magic Circle and now he is .  

David grew up in a Christian family, but his commitment to his Lord was strengthened in the 1970’s when he was asked to  lead a group of 14 year old children who were too old for the Sunday school and were drifting away from his local church.

David was a founder member of Woodford Wells Ecumenical church www.wwec.co.uk whose aim is to foster closer links between Christians of all denominations, and which has just celebrated its 25^th anniversary. He has found the use of magic helpful in bringing the Gospel to young people.
