David Mather

" I have been in the Ministry for over 30 years, first in South Africa where I was trained and ordained by the Presbyterian Church.

I've been with the United Reformed Church now since 1979 serving in various parts of the UK. Now at Cobham, in Surrey.

While I have seen magic used in evangelism and teaching and have used magicians in the past.

I only started doing puppets and magic in 2002 when I met Graham Nunn at The Christian Resources Exhibition.

Most of my tricks are done in the context of worship and teaching at the " Kids Talk" bit but I have done children's and old folks shows as well, always making some gospel point at some stage.

I've been in FCM since 2003 and am also a member of the Surrey Society of Magicians."

I've been married to Sylvia since 1966, she has to see all the tricks first, as do the grandchildren who are very observant and critical of gaffes. Sylvia looks forward to conference even more than I do and neither of us can wait until next year.
