Bob Holland

My name is Bob Holland to my friends, Robert Ian on Sundays to my mum who is now ninety two ( long jevitty ) so I may be around a long time ( but that's in Gods hands ). Born in January 1947 ( a very cold winter I remember it well shovelling coal to keep us warm in our council house ).

I became a Christian in January 1963 having been a Sunday school teacher for two years, but not really knowing the one I was teaching about.

I served my time as an apprentice cabinet maker which I am still doing today but also I am a qualified builder i.e. higher national certificate in building, so if you put Bob and building together you get Bob The Builder, just a little bit older than the more famous one.

From being saved I have always had an interest in magic ( as a child I was fascinated with David Nixon ). I do magic to preach the gospel, proclaiming the good news of Jesus, over the years I have dabbled, I now take it more seriously in doing longer programmes and presentations both for our Royal Rangers ( a uniformed Christian organisation similar to Scouts mainly with the A.O.G. churches) and other groups.

I have a lot of connections with Paul MorJey in fact through him I put my cabinet making skills to use, i.e. I make illusions and tricks, mainly in wood. If you need something making I can oblige. I am available for parties, special events, services camp etc. No mod cons, only available.

Yes I was in Finland for a ten day ministry and showing magic/illusions both to the youth leaders of Finland and then to the Royal Ranger leaders.

We had a great time doing magic, showing tricks, but most of all sharing our universal gospel. The thing that came very strongly to me was the power of the cross and the blood of Jesus, and a verse from an old hymn.......... "bearing shame and scoffing rude, in my place condemned he stood, sealed my pardon with his blood. Hallelujah, what a saviour".
