Matthew Pritchard

Matt is a gifted teacher and creative communicator. Twelve years after taking up magic as a teenage hobby, he’s still passionate about it. He specialises in close-up magic, mentalism and stand-up comedy.

In 2006/7 he underwent drama and Christian discipleship training at the Riverside School of Performing Arts (www.rspa.org.uk).

This included conducting school assemblies, youth services, workshops and show tours. Matt is a fully committed member of Riverside Church , South Birmingham .

Before switching full time to the performing arts, Matt was an atomic physics researcher at Durham University . During this time he performed with an improvised comedy troupe and was a sketch writer for the Durham Revue.

Matt is currently self-employed and works as a freelancer on various exciting projects including performing, speaking, writing and consultancy work. In July 2007 his one-man magic show (Futurology Live!) won the “Best solo comedy show award” at Buxton Fringe Festival. He is looking to take this show on tour in 2008.
