Matt is a gifted teacher and creative
communicator. Fifteen years after taking up magic as a teenage hobby, he’s still passionate about it. He particularly enjoys performing close-up magic, mentalism and stand-up comedy. He is a past winner of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians’ stage and close-up magic trophies. Matt has performed at the following festivals: Greenbelt, Spring Harvest, Buxton Fringe,
Oxfringe, Birmingham Comedy Festival and Artsfest.

As an experienced children’s worker he also presents extremely creative church all age services and works as a schools science communicator. Matt is a fully committed member of Riverside Church, South Birmingham. In 2006/7 he underwent drama and Christian discipleship training at the Riverside School of Performing Arts
(www.rspa.org.uk). Before switching full time to the performing arts, Matt was an atomic physics researcher at Durham University.
