At the time of writing this article, there is on the toy market a magnetic construction kit by the name of 'GEOMAG'.  There are many cheap imitations of the toy but Geomag is the original and the best quality.

The toy consists of a number of short plastic rods with a magnet at each end and a quantity of steel ball bearings.

The rods can be magnetically joined either to each other or to the balls so as to construct all sorts of shapes and models.

The toy may be used for a sermon on the way that we should behave.  

Each individual rod on it's own is not much use but when they join together with others and share what they have with others they can build into something incredible.  Their stickability also enables them to be strong and stand firm when trials arise

At this stage you would show a model that you have built using the rods and ball bearings.  If you can make part of the model spin then it makes it look more impressive.

You can now demonstrate the other aspect of the rods which makes them just like us.  Make up two lengths of rods to make two longer rods each rod should have four or five short rods in it.

Show how the two lengths can be joined to each other when they work together.  Now turn one of the long rods round and show that they now will not come together in fact they are repelling or fighting against each other.  This is like what happens in our churches.  When we work together we can make amazing things happen, but just like the magnetic rods when we don't work together and share what we have, when we have back biting and gossip, we work against each other and fall apart.
