The Real, real, REAL meaning of Christmas

One: I've got a Christmas card!

Two: A Christmas card?

One: Yes, a Christmas card

Two: A Christmas card? One?

One: Yes, one. Isn't it great?

Two: Just one? Only one?

One: Not just. Not only! A Christmas card. A special Christmas card.

Two: What makes it special?

One: It says "specially for you" on the front. And it's got a poem on the inside.

Two: What does it say?

One: It says: Christmas time is here again
With all it's fun and holly.
I would have bought a present,
But I can't afford the lolly.
That's what Christmas is all about, isn't it? Christmas cards!

Two: I hope not! I hope that's not what Christmas is all about.

One: Why not?

Two: I haven't sent any.

One: Oh, don't worry about that! It's not all about sending cards and presents. It's about getting them.

Two: Yeah! Waking mum and dad up at five o'clock in the morning, then opening all those presents! What are you getting for Christmas?

One: A "My little Warthog" and an Action Man that cries and wets himself.

Two: I want a Nintega 3PS Megadriven Super-Applenana Gamezoon Omega wristwatch.

One: Yeah, that's what Christmas is all about!

Two: No, I don't think that's what Christmas is really all about.

One: What do you think it's really all about, then?

Two: Families! That's what Christmas is all about.

One: Yeah! Families! Visitting granny for Christmas!

Two: Auntie Ethel coming on boxing day...

One: Mum and Dad arguing over the Christmas lunch...

Two: Gran'pa telling his boring old war stories... again!

One: Auntie Ethel's sloppy kisses.

Two: Grandma's dog weeing on the carpet.

One: Oh dear.

Two: Perhaps that's not what Christmas is all about after all.

One: Christmas is when Jesus was born...

Two: And He lived on earth, and grew up to be a man...

One: And he died to make us friends with God again

Two: And He rose from the dead to show that God's the boss...

One: So the real, real real REAL meaning of Christmas is....

Two: Easter!
