Balloon Reindeer for Christmas

Balloon reindeer

by David Oconnor

Inflated 260 balloon

I inflate and tie off a 260 balloon leaving about 3 to 4 inches uninflated.  This is to allow expansion space for all the twists that have to be made in the balloon.
Make a bubble for the nose about 2 1/2 inches long plus nine small bubbles all the same size. Nose bubble plus 9 small bubbles
nose bubble plus 9 bubbles twisted into a ring Twist the bubble for the nose round the end of the last small bubble in the chain.
Continue making the model as though it was going to be a simple balloon dog. standard balloon dog
Face on picture showing face prior to twisting the antlers Now go back to the nine bubbles

Miss the bubble on one side of the neck join and then take the next three bubbles and twist them round in a group.

Miss out the bubble on the other side of the neck join, grab the next three bubblesand twist as a group.

The middle of the nine bubbles will now come to rest on top of the two bubbles either side of the neck,

You should see a triangle in the middle with the two twisted triangles either side of it.

Antlers and nose after twisting

To finish the balloon reindeer, draw a smile and eyes and put a red nose on.

Ok mine is green and pink. This looks ten times better in brown with a red nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
